It explores themes of bravery, resilience, and the joy found in life’s small moments, and stands as a tender tribute to places “forever etched in our hearts.” Inspired by real events—really! Read the story behind the story—this heartwarming tale is also a heartfelt homage to her mother, a teacher and lifelong reader who nurtured Ania’s love of books. Written during the difficult time following her mother’s passing, the book is dedicated to her memory.
Many of the characters in Sisi’s world are drawn from a loving mix of friends and family, with personalities, sayings, and quirks that readers may find surprisingly familiar.
